Ron Paul vs. Warmongering Squawkers on CNBC 2/22/10

@mjl1621 just look up “The liberty Dollar.” Mr VonNothaus’ movement to establish a gold-backed currency (which by the way, is tied to a commodity-gold) got squashed and Ron Paul changed his colors like any slimy politician. To add insult to it all, Von Nothaus even made a coin honoring Ron Paul (before the Feds shut him down). I would not expect Ron to do anything, but he could have at least said something….but then again, Ron was running for president that year (hmmmm). Slimy politician.
@flukes777 Ron Paul supports a competing currency system that is tied to commodities. I didn’t see the interview, but he probably condemned him because he simply disagrees with him. Ron Paul on many occasions has said he doesn’t support a return to the gold standard, and has acknowledged it has short comings; such as price manipulation, which is why he supports a competing currency standard. I judge politicians by their voting record, because that is what reveals their true masters.
OK all you Ron Paul worshipers out there (who get so ticked off when I state the fact that he is just another slimy pilitician) explain this. When Mr. VonNothaus’ attempt to establish a gold-backed currency was squashed by the Feds last year, what did the great Ron Paul say when he was interviewed on it? That piece of slime backtracked big time and virtually condemned Mr. Nothaus’ operation. He did not even have the guts to stick up for a guy who tried to practice what Ron preached.

You sir, are truly a moron. He has more than 3 decades of track record that backs him up. He was the MOST UNpopular and ignored politician in congress but stood his ground for 30 years. Which planet were you been?
He just panders to the people that want a limited government! If he was going to change his colors, he would have a long time ago. He could have chaired a commitee in congress when the Republicans were in power if he had gone along. We’ll probably never know because he’s “unelectable” but even if we assume all politicians are corruptable, I’d say Rep. Paul is far and away the least corruptable.
Ron Paul is a politician. He says whatever you wanna hear. If he ever became president, he would change colors quick cause the real powers that be in the USA would make him.

This is MSNBC, not Fox. These pundits exposed themselves for a neocon-like philosophy, with the possible exception of Joe Kernen.
I can’t believe the ignorant questions these pundits keep asking him. What is the problem with their gray matter not being able to comprehend the highest law of the land? Why don’t they just cut to the chase and ask Ron Paul the one real question they meant to ask: “What is this Constitution, anyway?”
Wow. What an incredible debate. Ron Paul is an amazing man. He took on the entire staff at Fox and was so impressive. I never really fully realized that the Fox team is a bunch of flag waving, bomb dropping Neo Cons.
