It all makes sense but if the federal reserve didn’t exist then who and how would the interest rates be set? When you allow the private sector to decide certain things monopolies form around them unfortunately. Look at the internet and how much companies are fighting to control it given how much money is transfered through it.

It takes a crisis to change mindsets of the public. While I would never wish for disaster (I don’t own a ton of gold, hehe), I’m afraid it would take that much to make people see the faults of their current actions.
Go Fed!! I vote for more bailouts, monetizing the debt, hyper-inflation, more gov’t programs, socialized medicine, and higher taxes….why?…because then the “majority” of citizens that want something for nothing will have it….and I just bought a ton of gold!!
